Strength in Unity – A Collaboration by Cirque Du Soleil Musicians (Official Video)
This is a collaboration that was born shortly after the halt that we all experienced due to the global pandemic in March 2020. Omar Martinez & Majo Cornejo reached out to a group of musicians from different shows at Cirque Du Soleil and presented an idea to do a collaboration video from their homes. Almost 3 months after, they present a project that became much more than they thought it would be. This project not only speaks to the world on the issue of the pandemic but it also speaks to the worldwide movement of social justice, equality and hope. It’s an original composition by Omar Martinez with lyrics and melody by Virginia Alvés (Verse 1 in Spanish & last chorus in english), Julia Tazie & Lari Finocchiaro (Verse 2 in Portuguese), Camilla Bäckman (Verse 3 in Finnish), Sophie Guay (Verse 3 in French) & Destani Wolf (Verse 4 in English).
