In Mexico, November 2nd is the second day of Día de los Muertos, or Día de los Inocentes.
We invite you to remember, honor, celebrate, and also mourn the loss of parts of our environment, especially our bodies of water.
Destani will perform mostly improvised pieces accompanied by Andrew Levin alongside dancer Cora Cliburn surrounded by the creative vision and installation by Ana Teresa Fernandez.
Ana Teresa Fernández is an artist of fluencies. A student of linguistics, she speaks five languages. An artist of border erasure, she elevates the intersectionality of place, person, and politics to create a common human vernacular. Time-based actions and social gestures are her syntax.
